The Simulations Center is working to develop and maintain business partnerships not only to help sponsor the many simulation experiences offered but to help students be better prepared for the future. While students are reinforcing and applying their knowledge of the educational concepts while participating, they are also developing and refining many job or college-related skills such as:

  • collaboration, coordination and team work;
  • critical and analytical thinking;
  • negotiation and public speaking;
  • strategic planning and execution.

The return on investment of supporting the simulation experiences is not only the student’s greater awareness and understanding of the educational concepts but also their development and refinement of work-related skills while they participate.

Therefore, it is expected that students that have participated in the simulation activities will have an edge academically as well as in obtaining skills useful to them in the future. An edge that sponsoring businesses will seek out in future employees.
